The Waylons don’t always get a chance to party as much and often as we’d like, what with Yellowcake scares, meditations on paradoxes, and releasing new music online etcetera. Whole days sometimes go by seemingly without any partying at all. This is only one of the several reasons we are so excited about this Saturday, when we will be participating in the RHTL party at Cake Shop with DJ Jaime XO, Us and some other bands. It’s a multiform event, in which participants are called upon not only to perform, but also to party! The Waylons will play music, and the Waylons will party. and we hope you’ll be there do party with us.

If you’re the like the waylons when they’re feeling particularly inquisitive, then you scrolled over the creepy and odd and see-through-photo looking Google sign this morning to discover (or remember?) that today marks the discovery of X-Rays. Thank you WC Rontgen. today is also the day that Kennedy beat Nixon, the date Led Zeppelin continued its assault on good sense with the release of “IV,” the anniversary of the Three Gorges Dam (which was built by diverting the Yangtze river), and Bonnie Raitt’s (and Bonnie Bramlet’s, and Parker Posey’s) birthday.
So it’s a pretty good day for science, America, and cool ladies.
It’s also day zero for the Waylons new releases. On Wednesday The Waylons will make available the first in a series of singles available free online and only for a limited time (till they pile up into the EP that is their home, for general release).
